Job Summary

SCX require a receptionist to provide a professional and welcoming reception service.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To answer all incoming calls promptly and professionally at all times, deal with general enquires, screening calls, take detailed messages and forwarding calls to relevant team member
  • Deal with incoming emails and distribute accordingly
  • Meet and greet visitors to the company
  • Ensure that the Reception area remains tidy
  • Report all maintenance issues to the Reception and Facilities Manager
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing mail, including franking
  • Maintain the company fire warden lists and other relevant Reception spreadsheets
  • Monitor levels of, and order, PPE, first aid supplies, stationery, cleaning supplies, and beverages
  • Manage the Outlook diary for the meeting rooms 
  • Organise lunch and refreshments for meetings. This may include going to purchase lunch items from a supermarket, and from time to time set out buffets in the meeting rooms.

  • Coordinate the loaning of company pool vehicles
  • Keep the staff movements list up to date on a daily/weekly basis
  • Log staff holidays on the time and attendance system
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested


Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Confident communicator
  • Can evidence success in a similar role
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must have a full clean driving licence
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance if required
