Information

The Service Department deals with preventative maintenance contracts (PPM), breakdowns on a 24-hour basis, service follow up work (SFU), spare parts and all after sales activities associated within Street CraneXpress.

The company consists of over 50 of employees, around 15 of which deal with incoming customer queries via the telephone between 8.45–17:00 Monday–Friday.

Role specific training would be provided where necessary.
Job summary
We are currently looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person to join our team to provide support to our engineers servicing lifting equipment, mainly as a nominated ground rescue person with additional Health and Safety, First Aid and labouring requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Engage in product inspection and quality improvement activities.

To provide support to the service engineers in the form of a nominated ground rescue person, marshal and H&S spotter.

General labouring duties to support the site and engineers.

Assistance with Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and paperwork if necessary.

Cleaning machinery, equipment and other infrastructure in order to provide the conditions for safe and efficient operation of plant.

Provide general support to the engineers.

Undertake maintenance duties in accordance with procedures, manuals and checklists.

Ensuring tools are in good working condition.

Cleaning and maintaining a safe workshop environment and surrounding areas.

Providing pick-up and delivery duties as requested.

Basic caretaking duties.

Providing offloading and loading labour as requested.

Compliance with all H&S, company policies and procedures.

Compliance with all company quality policies and procedures.

Compliance with all company environmental policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Experience
Essential
-
Experience of labouring duties in an industrial, engineering or building environment.
-
General H&S awareness.
-
Able to take full responsibility for all work assigned and to comply fully with Safety and compliance requirements.

Willing and able to be 'called in' outside of normal working hours, if necessary.
-
Full clean driving licence.
-
Forklift truck licence would be advantageous.
-
IPAF licence would be advantageous.
-
Willing to undergo security clearance if required.
