Information

• The Service Department deals with preventative maintenance contracts (PPM), breakdowns on a 24-hour basis, service follow up work (SFU), spare parts and all after sales activities associated within Street CraneXpress.
• The company consists of over 50 of employees, around 15 of which deal with incoming customer queries via the telephone between 8.45–17:00 Monday–Friday.
• Role specific training would be provided where necessary.

Job summary

We are currently looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person to join our team to provide support to our engineers servicing lifting equipment, mainly as a nominated ground rescue person with additional Health and Safety, First Aid and labouring requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Engage in product inspection and quality improvement activities.
• To provide support to the service engineers in the form of a nominated ground rescue person, marshal and H&S spotter.
• General labouring duties to support the site and engineers.
• Assistance with Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and paperwork if necessary.
• Cleaning machinery, equipment and other infrastructure in order to provide the conditions for safe and efficient operation of plant.
• Provide general support to the engineers.
• Undertake maintenance duties in accordance with procedures, manuals and checklists.
• Ensuring tools are in good working condition.
• Cleaning and maintaining a safe workshop environment and surrounding areas.
• Providing pick-up and delivery duties as requested.
• Basic caretaking duties.
• Providing offloading and loading labour as requested.
• Compliance with all H&S, company policies and procedures.
• Compliance with all company quality policies and procedures.
• Compliance with all company environmental policies and procedures.

Key Skills/Experience

Essential

• Experience of labouring duties in an industrial, engineering or building environment.
• General H&S awareness.
• Able to take full responsibility for all work assigned and to comply fully with Safety and compliance requirements.
• Willing and able to be 'called in' outside of normal working hours, if necessary.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Forklift truck licence would be advantageous.
• IPAF licence would be advantageous.
• Willing to undergo security clearance if required.
